​​Hey, I’m Lailee -​ Born and raised in California, with a deep love for adventure, nature, and the sun.
​
From California to Australia to Southeast Asia, I’ve spent the past few years living between oceans, jumping into rivers, and following the sun wherever it led. Chasing Summer was born from that feeling - of freedom, connection, movement, and the magic of the sun.
​
I wanted to create something that honored all of it - the planet, the process, and the play. Something that could keep up with every surf, hike, van trip, and ocean dip. And something that brought beauty into the world without taking from it.
​
Every part of this brand is personal - I design every print by hand with the help of my friend Fer, source every fabric, drive around Los Angeles to pick up, print, and drop off materials, and sit with my small team of sewers as they bring each piece to life. It’s a slow, hands-on, intentional process - just how it should be.
BEHIND THE PRINTS

Every Chasing Summer print is hand-drawn - sketched from memory, inspired by places that have shaped me, and colored by the feeling they gave me. These prints are more than patterns - they’re personal stories, lived moments, and wearable pieces of the places I’ve loved.​
MALIBU
​
Where it all began.
​
Growing up in Los Angeles, I spent most of my summers on the beaches of Malibu. This print is a love note to those late August afternoons - deep orange skies, vintage textures, and the blur of golden hour. It’s the dreamy haze of a Malibu summer, shoreline nostalgia, and the feeling of sun on your skin. ​
MOONSTONE

Where magic hides in the small things.

Inspired by Moonstone Beach on California’s Central Coast, where I've spent hours barefoot on the rocks, peering into tide pools that feel like tiny worlds. Shells, seaweed, starfish, shifting light - there’s a quiet kind of magic in watching life move slowly beneath the surface. This print is an ode to that - the little things you only find when you really look.
WATEGOS

This one’s for the ocean girl.
Wategos was inspired by long days in Byron Bay, where the water glows electric blue and reef sharks sometimes glide beneath your board. One swam by me one day - and that little guy is what shaped this print. A blend of bold movement and bright blue, it’s a nod to the wild beauty of the ocean and everything that lives in it.
KEEL

My roots, in every shade of green.
Keel is inspired by summers on the west coast of Ireland, where my grandmother grew up. I’ve spent nearly every summer there, feeling deeply connected to the cliffs and the sea. This print is a tribute to the Irish coast - the deep greens of the hills and the shifting blues of the Atlantic. It’s a reflection of heritage, wild landscapes, and the quiet kind of beauty that stays with you.
