Made slowly, with love
from start to finish.

Sustainability isn’t a buzzword here - it’s a promise. Every Chasing Summer piece is handmade in california using fabric made out of ocean-bound plastic, crafted with intention in every stitch. From sourcing to sewing, we honor the planet, the process, and the people who bring it to life. Our bond with the earth runs deep - sustainability is how we show it.

The Journey:

1. It starts in the ocean.
We use fabric made from plastic bottles collected within 50km of coastlines that lack proper waste management - areas where plastic is most at risk of entering the sea. These bottles are transformed into high-quality, durable yarn through a low-waste, certified process. The result? A premium fabric that turns ocean-bound waste into something worth keeping.

2. Then comes the print.
Each pattern is hand-drawn - often sketched in nature, on van trips, or by the ocean. Once finalized, the fabric is printed locally using low-waste methods that minimize environmental impact.

3. Cut, sewn, and loved.
Lailee personally drives each printed roll of fabric to a small team of incredible sewers in Los Angeles - women who are paid California’s highest wages and treated with the care and respect they deserve. Often, she’s sitting right there with them, exchanging stories and jokes as the suits come to life. Every piece is made slowly, intentionally, and always with a good time.
